This Job Description outlines the broad requirements of the job and the duties the employee will be expected to perform.This list is not exhaustive, and the employee will be required to comply with additional duties as reasonably required from time to time. POSITION SUMMARY The main purpose it to perform AP functions for multiple Travcorp UK brands.Ensure invoices for tour costs and other expenses are processed accurately and timely. During the off-season, the position will perform other accounting functions as required by the business. Key Responsibilities Accounts payable: Process large volume of tour cost invoices for British and European operations, and input into in-house system (Tropics), in a timely fashion. Accurately process vendor invoices, determination of proper general ledger coding, and input data to the accounts payable system (Oracle). Checking invoices against supplier contracts Investigate AP related inquiries from internal and external customers, resolve and provide feedback in a timely and professional manner. Supplier statement reconciliations at financial year end. Accounting: Any other duties as required and assigned in the accounts department. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communications skills Ability to interact with all levels of staff and multiple departments. Learning on the Fly: Ability to learn new skills quickly and be open to change even when facing new or challenging situations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures related to the job. Uses multiple computer applications and telephone technology. Multi-tasking with ease Problem Solving: You will identify, research, and resolve issues to your role. Collaboration: You will partner with your team leader and teammates to ensure you work in a customer service driven environment. Recognise, document, and alert the manager of any trends. Recommend process improvements where needed. General: Understand and use Office 365 – Yammer, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive etc. Strong PC skills required; knowledge of various internet browsers and a proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) required; knowledge of accounting software such as Oracle, and other accounting packages; knowledge of Tropics and/or ability to learn in house software required. Be dedicated to meeting the expectations of both our internal and external customers. Be required to take on other duties as assigned within the Accounts team. Act on any instructions from time to time based on the company's operational requirements and falls within the vocational ability of the incumbent. Attend in-house staff training and departmental meetings. Actively contribute to the creation of an integrated and focused Accounts team. Adhere to company ethics standards. Education A degree in Business/Finance or equivalent education preferred. Experience Two years of previous accounting experience preferred. Heavy data entry experience preferred.
