Exec Ed Business Development Lead - Gauteng, Johannesburg About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic Head of Sales to lead efforts in promoting and selling Executive Education programmes. This role involves achieving sales targets, managing and developing a high-performing sales team, and designing compelling proposals to attract new business. The ideal candidate will excel in building client relationships, driving new product development, and contributing to strategic partnerships. Key experience and Qualification required for consideration Degree- Non-Negotiable. Preference will be given to candidates with post-graduate qualifications ie MBA/PHD A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Senior Business Development role within a Business School Knowledge of Executive Education is essential Previous experience of writing, presenting, and selling winning proposals and tenders for corporate clients- evidence of this MUST be reflected in your CV Client relationship management skills, with both current and prospective clients at a senior level, in the corporate business environment. Able to demonstrate significant skills in successfully identifying, qualifying and proactively generating business revenue opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Achieve Sales Targets: Drive sales of programmes through a consultative approach, staying updated on programme offerings and coordinating team efforts to meet targets. Manage Sales Team: Lead, support, and motivate a sales team, providing ongoing training and maintaining high performance. Design and Sell Programmes: Create high-quality programmes and innovative proposals that align with the institute's standards. Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing insights into market trends and promoting services. Pipeline Management: Research and identify new business opportunities, manage leads, and report on sales activities and pipeline. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing and business development, to enhance client value and achieve revenue goals. Tender and Proposal Management: Oversee the development of winning proposals and manage tender processes effectively. Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate partnerships to expand the institute's business and reputation. Executive Reporting: Present detailed reports on sales performance, metrics, and opportunities to the executive team. New Product Development: Identify and develop new programme offerings based on market research and competitive analysis. Financial Leadership: Ensure pricing strategies align with business targets and margins, collaborating with finance teams to maintain profitability. Campaign Development: Create and execute marketing campaigns to boost lead generation and programme visibility. Stakeholder and Alumni Development: Engage with stakeholders and alumni to generate additional revenue opportunities. Virtual Learning: Enhance virtual learning capabilities, developing new products and sales strategies for increased enrolment. Process Enhancement: Improve the user experience for potential students through efficient and responsive processes. Cross-Functional Projects: Participate in cross-functional projects as needed to support business objectives.
