It aims to understand the unique requirements of clients and offers a wide range of simple and affordable financial solutions that cover needs such as funeral insurance, savings for education, life cover and personal accident plans. In terms of the Sanlam Group Governance Policy, SDM is managed by the SA Retail Mass cluster, which is part of the Sanlam Life and Savings cluster within the Sanlam Group. The cluster focusses on retail products, as well as group schemes. Focus of the role is to drive the strategic implementation of the market development capability in SRM for individual life. This includes building and maintaining relationships that assists with the attraction of new business and retention of existing business. Give data driven input into sales and marketing plans that underpin the SRM strategy to develop deeper and broader customer relationships that generate sustainable business growth. Give input into devising&implementing marketing strategy as well as designing financial services propositions that meet customer needs and commercial objectives. Lastly, the formalisation of tracking market activities at worksites and tracking on penetration. Output/Core Tasks: Develop and deliver a Government and Commercial Key Account (and consequently worksites) strategy for the Sanlam Retail Mass cluster (SRM). Maintaining solid and trusting relationships between all clients and SRM and create new strategic Key Account relationships. Provides fit for purpose solutions through an in-depth understanding of specific clients’ needs relating to SRM Offerings/services. Stays abreast of changing market and competitor trends and inform relevant stakeholders. Develop key account plans as agreed to leverage new opportunities and markets as well as improve customer retention. Managing communications between key clients and internal teams. Formalise the monitoring and tracking of worksites activity and penetration at a localised level. Support allocation and penetration of worksites through partnership with key internal distribution channels. Analyse Key Account data to improve penetration. Be familiar with the needs and requirements of key account partners to build a lasting relationship. Establish and build key relationships and leverage these to benefit the SRM cluster. Maintain current key account relationships in both the public and private sector. Develop and maintain a Key Account Dashboard for SRM. Unlock opportunities by maintaining and leveraging of labour movements as per SRM strategy. Crafting of value propositions geared towards stakeholder engagements and managements. Collaboration with other SLS businesses. Coordinate SRM stakeholder engagements session to gather insights and strengthen relationships. Qualification: Business related degree. Master’s degree in business management (or equivalent) preferable. Experience and Knowledge: 10 years or more prior industry related experience, of which at least 5 years should have been in a senior position. Extensive and diversified background in the creation of vision and strategy for a division. Driving business innovation, market growth and change. Knowledge of the legislative impact on the insurance industry. Solid experience in financial services with a customer proposition&marketing focus.
