My Client is a well-established Company in Gauteng (Vereeniging) looking to employ an Operations Manager (Logistics) with at least 8-10 years relevant experience in a similar role to join their team. Requirements South African citizen. Code B driver's license and own transport. Qualifications and Experience Senior certificate (NQF 4). Tertiary qualification relevant to Logistics will be an advantage. 8-10 years work-related skill, knowledge and/or experience. Experience in C-track and Parcel Perfect will be an advantage. Capabilities and Competencies Awareness of company policies/procedures. Understand business ethics and values. Understand the company's structures and reporting lines. Highly motivated and driven individual. Extremely good communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders. Excellent English and Afrikaans oral and written communication skills. Computer literate (MS Office). Key Performance Indicators Ensure vehicles leave on time as per schedules. Ensure drivers check vehicles prior to departure. Ensure incidents, breakdowns, and/or claims are reported to management timeously. Ensure reckless driving, harsh braking, and/or misuse of company vehicles is addressed and an incident report is completed. Ensure vehicle checklist is done accurately, km readings are correctly submitted. Provide updates and feedback to Client Service Department (CSD). ETA's are updated on local deliveries as requested from CSD. Capture vehicle mileages onto C-track. Ensure no vehicles leave the yard in un-roadworthy conditions. Ensure all vehicles are kept clean and tidy. Correspondence of documentation to different branches. Take pictures of all cargo before offloading and after loading, advising the sending branch of any damages and action that was taken. Complete and submit fleet inventory. Ensure validity of driver PDP's and do escalations where necessary. Housekeeping of warehouse and yard. Conduct toolbox meetings and provide management with minutes. Conduct Health and Safety meetings with the relevant staff. Diesel slips to be checked to make sure the km readings are correct. Action disciplinary steps where required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
