We’re always looking towards the future, anticipating changes in medical science and technology.The OpportunityThe role of Ambassador in the Core Diagnostics Division in South Africa, based in East London, provides diagnostic solutions used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics globally. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments, and informatics systems is often the first step in patient care decision-making for various health conditions.In this role, the Ambassador is responsible for managing and expanding existing accounts, improving customer relationships, enhancing account profitability, and providing first-line application support.What You’ll DoAct as a trusted partner and advisor as Abbott's main contact to customers.Manage and drive the development of billing accounts, including strategic account management, regular customer-facing sales calls, and promptly attending to customer queries (e.g., logistics, account, and product queries).Responsible for new product and menu expansion to grow existing business.Prepare and execute quarterly customer business value reviews.Manage routine renewals of base business accounts proactively and negotiate long-term contracts.Ensure customer contract compliance.Provide first-line application support and technical troubleshooting.Perform technical service bulletins (TSBs) where required.Implement and download new assays on the analyzer.Provide ongoing training and coaching to customers.Work with cross-functional implementation team (post-sale) with the Project manager to ensure a successful customer transition journey.Success in this role is measured by service level achievement, economic profitability, customer satisfaction score (NPS), contract renewal rate, and managed revenue.Knowledge/Experience:5-7 years track record in the diagnostic industry with an emphasis on managing and expanding existing accounts, improving customer relationships, enhancing account profitability, and providing first-line service.Proven track record in a similar position supported by management and customer references.Excellent product and industry knowledge.Must be passionate and self-motivated.Strong understanding of key stakeholders and customer dynamics.Must be able to work within a TEAM concept.Strong solution selling and relationship-building skills.Excellent sales analytical skills.Excellent communication skills.Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues.Long-term, strategic focus on the account.The position requires willingness to travel frequently, approximately three to four days per week.Qualifications:Tertiary Qualification in biomedical science/medical technology required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
