We are seeking an experienced and reliable Code 14 driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Code 14 driver’s license and have extensive experience operating heavy trucks and will be based in Gauteng. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Vehicle Operation Safely operate heavy motor vehicles, including trucks and trailers, ensuring all legal and safety requirements are met. Transport Duties Deliver goods and materials to specified destinations as scheduled, maintaining timely and accurate delivery. Vehicle Maintenance Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle before and after trips. Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the maintenance team promptly. Loading and Unloading Ensure that goods are correctly loaded and secured to prevent damage during transit. Assist with the loading and unloading process as needed. Record Keeping Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, delivery times, and any incidents or delays encountered during trips. Compliance Adhere to all traffic laws and company regulations, including road safety and environmental policies. Customer Interaction Provide excellent customer service, addressing any delivery-related issues or concerns professionally. Documentation Ensure all necessary delivery documents, including waybills and invoices, are completed accurately and submitted as required. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Matric Valid Code 14 driver's license and PdP 6 + years of experience as a Code 14 Driver Candidate must have basic knowledge and be able to hook and unhook trailers from and to a horse Candidate must have strong attention to detail and safety Excellent driving skills and knowledge of road safety regulations Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and navigation skills Physical ability to lift and move cargo (if required). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team.
