Location: Cape Town Role summary: The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a crucial role in the sales process by identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities for the sales team. The SDR will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads, building relationships with potential customers and scheduling meetings for the sales team. This role involves researching, identifying, and generating new business opportunities through outbound and inbound prospecting activities. Daily Responsibilities: Business Development and Marketing Prospect and qualify leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and other outreach methods. Conduct research to identify potential customers and understand their business needs. Build and maintain relationships with leads to nurture them through the sales funnel. Schedule qualified meetings and demos for the sales team to further engage with prospects. Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for lead generation and conversion. Track and report on lead generation activities and progress towards sales targets. Capturing data and activities into a bespoke CRM environment Prospecting and Hunting Identify and qualify potential leads by conducting on-the-ground visits and participating in networking events Develop a robust pipeline of prospective clients by actively seeking out new business opportunities Utilize various lead generation methods to uncover potential clients, including but not limited to cold calling, social networking, and attending industry-specific events Product Demonstrations Offer prospective clients personalized product demonstrations, tailoring presentations to address the unique challenges and needs of each prospect Effectively communicate the value proposition of rather.chat, emphasizing how our solutions can revolutionize their business operations Client Support Obtain required documents from clients Provide outstanding client support throughout the sales process, from initial contact to post-sale follow-up Collaborate with clients to address any concerns, answer inquiries, and ensure their needs are met Maintain a deep understanding of rather.chat’s product offerings, services, and industry trends to provide expert guidance to clients KPIs: 50 successful Pitches Scheduled per month. These targets might change from time to time and will be communicated with you prior Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience in Sales and Marketing Proficiency in using sales and CRM software/tools. Results-oriented and self-motivated, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with potential clients. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ability to think creatively and suggest new ideas. Persistent and goal-oriented mindset.
