Job DescriptionNeed a person to be responsible for the specification, design, drawing & testing, commissioning of electrical & electronic control systems. Must come from a heavy industry background.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelors Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)Professional registration with ECSA or in process of being registered (preferred)Minimum 5 years relevant experience in an Industrial Control EnvironmentMinimum 3 years PLC & DCS programming experience (preferably Schneider Unity Pro software)Minimum 3 years control loop tuning experienceKey Responsibilities:Assist with commissioning of package boilers, electrical equipment, controls and instrumentationEstimate and prepare proposals for electrical & instrumentation scope of supply for boiler enquiriesDesign of boiler controls and instrumentation, including:Preparation of instrument listsI/O listsEFDsLoop drawingsRouting diagramHook-upsInstrumentation specificationsInstrument data sheetsInstrument calibrationsProcurementDesign of control philosophiesAnalogue diagramsDesign of PLC cabinetsPLC programmingDesign or specify motor control centres, including:Motor listsCable sizingCable schedulesI/O listElectrical wiring drawingsRouting diagramEquipment sizingEquipment selectionEquipment specificationsEquipment data sheetsProcurementCold and hot commissioning of boilers and combustion equipmentCommissioning of fans, pumps, AC variable speed drives, burners, oil & gas systems, control valvesBoiler automatic controls tuning and setting up of controlsOperational fault finding of boiler and ancillary equipment control systemsCreate and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) on company Material Requirement Planning (MRP) systemSkills:Have a better than average academic record, especially in the fields of Electrical instrumentation and Automatic controlsHave a good understanding of Thermodynamics and Fluid MechanicsHave a good understanding of national and international electrical equipment standards & regulationsBe able to interact with customers at all levelsHave excellent communication skills, both oral and written in EnglishBe proficient in Excel and Word with exposure to AutoCAD Electrical and EPlan PackageSalary: Market related + benefits depending on experience and qualifications.#J-18808-Ljbffr
