The successful candidate will support the Production Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the production department, aligning processes with the company’s strategic goals. Qualifications Requirements: • Minimum of 5 years of production experience. • 3+ years in a supervisory or management support role. • Experience in impregnation, Stentor environment, or wet processing. • A relevant production, chemical, or engineering qualification. • Grade 12 with Mathematics. • In-depth knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems and Health&Safety protocols. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: • Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production unit, ensuring that production schedules are met with high efficiency and quality. • Support the management of production processes to achieve targets and maintain cost efficiencies in line with annual budgets. • Lead, mentor, and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. • Ensure compliance with quality standards, ISO Quality Management Systems, and regulatory requirements. • Assist in implementing and monitoring effective inventory controls and stock management practices. • Maintain a safe and compliant working environment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and company policies. Skills Key Skills and Competencies: • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to support and motivate teams. • Proven track record in assisting production management within a manufacturing environment. • Technical expertise in both chemical and mechanical processes relevant to glass fiber and resin production. • Ability to support process improvements and manage complex production challenges. • High attention to detail with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
