The role is responsible for developing planning, and execution of all aspect of the value chain within the production supply chain. Your role Independent evaluation and selection of techniques, procedures and criteria for Supply Chain influence. Impact/Decision: high degree of latitude to make decisions, take action as needed and manage workload, priority scheduling if required in conjunction with the relevant internal customers in mind. Responsible for managing and assisting in the development of production financial budgets and targets. Generation of Master Production Schedule and ongoing planning / re-scheduling based on shifting priorities, unscheduled job delays or equipment breakdowns. Preparation of weekly status reports and attendance of operational reporting forums with internal customers. Overall responsibility to ensure that products are delivered in accordance with customer orders. Responsible of MRO planning to meet the requirements from management. Responsible for the cost process in Supply Chain supporting the Winning Business Process and product opportunity process. Continuous analysis of work flows, work centre capacity and bottlenecks and recommendations for improvements in processes, tools, equipment and human resources. Responsible for adherence and allocation of obsolete stock and overseeing inventory management from Supply Chain. Understand contractual agreement between customer and Jabil on material liability prior to loading demand in MPS. Develop firm understanding of cross-functional responsibilities, processes and goals. Possess active knowledge of Supply Chain, inventory control and manufacturing as well as driving business. Recognize critical components, pricing, lead-time, and high stocks. Recommend action towards stakeholders through procurement. Action team lead in WIP tracking capabilities, BOM structuring and process routings. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Team champion and lead administrator of demand management process. Develop customer commits to the demand plan based on material and capacity constraints. Maintain achievable build and ship plan, with focus on minimizing costs and internal lead-time. Maintain and ensure MRP integrity and costs. Your profile Manage production and MRO operations and planning activities for SGD with emphasis on operational excellence, lean and agile manufacturing facility, and have overall throughput responsibility. Required Knowledge and Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Electronics Manufacturing and repair environment ERP/MRP/PDM knowledge Possess knowledge of production planning and MRP, clearly understand the process or loading and changing the MPS, along with the impact on MRP and Material planners Clear understanding of material liability agreement that is contractually in place Knowledge of Supply Chain process and the impact of schedule changes Advanced computer skills, with emphasis on spreadsheet software package Exceptional interpersonal/written communication skills; can effectively interact with all levels of management Organizational and problem-solving skills required Proven experience with complex planning, forecasting and product lifecycle programs Knowledge of manufacturing processes and Supply Chain Management Required Skills and Competencies: Strong problem solving, negotiations and people skills Ability to effectively and professionally work under pressure in a team-oriented environment with frequent changes in deadlines and priorities Team player, who will be able to work well across business operations and develop strong business teams Demonstrate ability to influence teams and programs regarding quality, productivity and/or customer service Excellent organisational, interpersonal skills and the ability to influence decisions Strong project management skills and problem-solving Process and Material Flow Manufacturing Processes Ability to work well under pressure Qualification: An applicable tertiary qualification in Operations Management and/or Production Planning or equivalent APICS certification / qualification with Supply Chain experience What you will be a part of SGD has reinforced its position as a leading South African defence and security company, bringing capabilities including electronic warfare systems, sensor technology, training systems, avionics, security and support solutions to the African and international markets.
