VACANCY: TSU PROTECTION SERVICES – ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER – CPO DIVISION, CENTURION Job Feed: We are looking for an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to join our team at our prestigious CPO Division in Centurion. Minimum Requirements: Skills Grade 12 Valid Driver’s license Own reliable transport CPO qualification in all applicable unit standards Advance Driving Strong administration skills Advanced medical/first aid training Minimum firearm training required - Handgun for Business Purposes Shotgun and Self-Loading Rifle will be an added advantage SAPS firearm competency for Handgun Clean Criminal Record Excellent English communication skills 3-5 years as a senior team leader or supervisor At least 5 years’ experience as CPO – Deployed in Teams and Individually Behavioral Skills Critical thinker Decisive Work well under pressure Deals well with continuous change Well-developed interpersonal skills Mature conflict-handling skills Experienced in conflict resolution Ability to balance concern for task and concern for people Able to manage upwards as well as manage and direct subordinates Presentable Accommodating Process Driven Able to delegate Detail orientated Minimum Experience: Proof of managing a team of 30 more members. Proof of being able to manage multiple taskings/deployment/operations taking place at the same time. (Reference Letter or letter of proof from at least two employers/clients must be attached) Responsibilities: Your keys responsibilities will be to assist the Operations Manager – CPO Division in managing and supervising: 1. All ad-hoc CPO deployments and their day-to-day operational activities; 2. All ad-hoc tasks paperwork reconciliation; 3. Assist with operational plannings of deployed ad-hoc teams; 4. Personnel related matters, including but not limited to: a. Managing sick notes and annual leave&ensuring that all staff take annual leave according to a leave roster; b. Keeping up to date personnel files and CPO profiles; c. Performance assessment and evaluation of your personnel on customer sites to ensure the all requirements of customers/clients are met; d. Mentorship, guidance and training; e. Fitness, shooting and driving assessments to ensure CPOs remain compliant; f. Disciplinary and grievance procedures; g. Labour relations; h. Incident Reports i. Increasing morale of members. 5. Vehicles management: a. weekly inspections; b. monthly fuel reconciliation; c. controlling the fuel budget; d. monthly ad-hoc deployment reconciliation e. maintenance of company owned vehicles; f. ordering of vehicles for ad-hoc taskings g. insurance claims for rental vehicle damages 6. Equipment and the safety program of your members; 7. The completion and on time submission of prescribed documentation and reports; 8. Daily communication between yourself and Operations Manager, Team Leaders, clients and support staff. 9. Monthly visits to sites during operations discussing complaints and compliments to and from members. 10. Monthly meetings with Team Leaders and all other meetings as scheduled. 11. The meeting of all prescribed standards, policies, procedures and legislation: PSIRA certificates are valid by conducting quarterly reviews and give notice to members if their certificates are close to expiring. Bi-Annual Criminal Checks on all Security Personnel. Ensure that firearm competency certificates are valid and remains valid for all staff. Firearm controlling and ensuring that all staff are compliant with the Firearms Control Act. Remuneration: Negotiable, depending on skills and experience.
