The role includes month end and statutory reporting responsibilities and requires the role holder to appreciate and manage internal controls in their areas.This role involves an ability to work to tight deadlines and requires a degree of flexibility in terms of working hours and workload to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.Main Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with management accounts preparation, including balance sheet reconciliations.Assist with reporting to Group Finance including management accounts packs, *** tracker and debtor summariesMaintain and update Fixed Asset register – additions, disposals, depreciation calculationAssist with accounts payable process including invoicing, statement reconciliations, payments and cash applicationAssist with accounts receivable process including invoicing, credit control and cash applicationInput weekly timesheet information to job reports and provide summary report for monthly payrollAssist as required with bank payments, bank reconciliations and cash forecasting.The job holder may be required to carry out any other related or associated roles, tasks or duties, which they can be trained, instructed and supervised to do safely and according to changing business requirements.To be successful in this role, you will need:Previous demonstrable experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industryMinimum accounting qualification to HNC in Accounts or equivalent experienceProfessional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS preferred although not essential)Full UK driving licence preferableAbility to deal with change and meet monthly reporting deadlines.IT literate with good knowledge of accounting and accounts systems (Navision experience preferable, but not essential)Effective communication and interpersonal skillsProfessional and proactive working style to deliver excellent serviceEffective organisation and time management skills, particularly when dealing with conflicting priorities.Proactive, flexible and adaptable approach to workSelf starter who can work independently and under own initiativeAbility to build strong and collaborative working relationships across internal/external stakeholdersThis role is based at Cotton of Pitkennedy by Forfar, Angus, DD8 2UHThe personal data captured in this data form is processed in line with our Privacy Notice#J-18808-Ljbffr
