Job Title: Experienced Solar PV and/or Wind ExpertLocation: South AfricaLeap29 are currently assisting a leading and innovative consultancy, who are accelerating the global energy transition by bringing their expert services to the market. My client is searching for an experienced Solar PV and/or Wind expert to join their South Africa team. The right candidate will be working across varying and diverse teams while providing technical guidance.Main Responsibilities:Leading feasibility studiesReviewing overall project design and suggesting potential improvementsManaging the EPC & O&M tender preparation and following contract negotiationsManaging technical due diligence assignments and guiding customers throughout the financial close phaseManaging and executing high quality technical advisory works:Providing technical input from initial assessment through to technical and economic feasibilityReviewing overall project permits and design.Reviewing/negotiating key construction contractsSupporting Sponsor(s) and Lender(s) throughout the Financial Close processLiaising with Legal, Insurance and Financial AdvisorsAssessing technical risks and proposing mitigation strategies to reduce risk over project ***, OPEX and revenues.Following up project construction, commissioning, and acceptanceFollowing up project during the Operational periodRequirements:You have permanent residency in South AfricaYou are fluent in spoken and written English.You obtained a Master's degree in engineering or equivalent through experienceYou have 5+ years’ experience in solar PV and or wind, preferably in consultancy with at least 5 years in overall experience in renewable energyYou have a thorough experience with technical due diligence on solar PV and/or wind projects, specifically experience with PV EPC, O&M, PPA and Wind turbine contracts review (EPC, WTG supply contract, O&M, PPA), as Lender’s/ Owner’s technical advisorYou have experience with technical solar and wind turbine inspections and construction monitoringTake part in reviewing of onsite project acceptance testing/ commission performed by suppliersYou have experience with Solar and Wind resource assessment, and/or financial models is an asset.You have strong overall computer skills and the ability to learn multiple software tools.You manage multiple jobs simultaneously, on time, budget, and quality.You have the ability of conveying information concisely adapting your communication style to suit different types of audiences.You are available to do short trips in Africa if necessary.If you would be interested in the opportunity to join a prominent and forward-thinking consultancy that is playing a crucial role in expediting the worldwide energy transition through their specialized services to the market, please apply directly through the link or send your CV to Georgia – gsumnall@leap29.com#J-18808-Ljbffr
