The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of commercial underwriters at a short-term insurance brokerage, ensuring high standards of underwriting, compliance, and client service are maintained. Minimum of 5 Years experience in Commercial Underwriting Minimum of 2 â 3 years team leader experience in a similar role RE5 FAIS compliant A recent professional profile photo is to accompany your application EMPLOYMENT TYPE  : Permanent SECTOR             : Insurance BASIC SALARY       : Market Related START DATE : A.S.A.P / Immediate  REQUIREMENTS:  Minimum of 5 Years experience in Commercial Underwriting Minimum of 2 â 3 years team leader experience in a similar role Industry relevant qualification RE5 FAIS compliant DUTIES:  Financial: Take proactive measures to minimize cancellations and mitigate financial losses Ensure and contribute to minimisation of general expenses Client: Ensure timely, accurate, and professional communication with all stakeholders, including clients, Account Executives, and insurers Develop and implement strategies to enhance client engagement and service delivery Work to meet client satisfaction targets while adhering to company standards Business Processes: Guide and support the Commercial Underwriting team towards achieving goals and maintaining standards Provide guidance on underwriting practices and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies Address client complaints promptly and optimise staffing to improve efficiency Generate reports, conduct quality assessments, and take corrective action to uphold quality standards Assist in developing training materials and procedures to enhance team performance. Adhere to company standard operating procedures performing the following processes on client portfolios (but not limited to): General client New business Renewals Endorsements Re Broke Age Analysis Cancellations Refunds Invoicing Client retention Filing and record keeping Participating in ad hoc projects  Learning and Growth: Live the company values Ensure continuous self-development Share information and knowledge with the team Assist with the Performance management of the Underwriting team HOURS: Monday to Friday 08:00 â 16:30 Should you meet all the requirements, apply on our website at www.statusstaffing.com today.
