In this fast-changing world of energy, we are constantly on the lookout for future-oriented talent to join our team and to work towards enabling sustainable societies through innovation in technology and services - together. Want to join the ride?  We are now looking for a Field Service Technician  to join our South Africa OperationalOrganization based in Cape Town, South Africa Your role and responsibilities: As a Field Service Technician,  yourdaily duties include but are not limited to: Perform maintenance and repair jobs in relation to other products of Wärtsilä corporation Fulfil tasks given by the Field Service Team Leader Use & maintain shop & field tools in accordance with good mechanical-work practices Prepare & submit parts requisitions as required Maintain current individual time sheets & expense records to support the timely invoicing of jobs to customers Maintain a professional appearance & conduct Maintain the quality & efficiency of mechanical work performed (as measured by warranty costs), & in accordance with manufacturers specifications & ISO procedures Accurate & timely care of Wärtsilä specialty tools (field & shop) used to perform service work Ensure customer satisfaction with job performance through positive interactions with customers Conform with & abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures & instructions Conform to all safety rules & use of all appropriate safety equipment Adopt a pleasant, adaptable attitude to assist Company staff with any "ad-hoc" duties that may be required Submit accurate and high-quality service work reports within 48 hours of returning home from assigned jobs Promote Wärtsilä Products and Services. Requirements for the position: Qualification : Qualification/trade certificate relevant to the industry and position Experience : 3-5 years in a similar position with value adding experience Must reside in Kenya– willing to relocate Why you and us: We at Wärtsilä believe in empowerment, ownership and taking responsibility of our work.
