Role Overview: As a Financial Accountant - Oracle Netsuite Specialist and financial reporting, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our financial systems to support the organization's financial operations. You will collaborate with various teams, including Finance, IT, and other business units, to ensure the effective use of Oracle NetSuite and other financial systems and its seamless integration with our financial processes. This role is an onsite role based in our Cape Town office. What You Will Be Doing: Configure and customize Oracle Netsuite and other financial systems to align with the company's financial reporting and operational needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions that improve financial processes and systems. Implement and maintain Oracle Netsuite modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Reporting. Ensure accurate and timely data migration and integration between Oracle Netsuite and other financial systems. Perform regular system upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting to resolve any issues and optimize system performance. Provide end-user training and support to enhance the understanding and efficient use of Oracle Netsuite and other financial systems. Stay updated with industry best practices and trends in Oracle Netsuite configuration and financial systems management. Collaborate with external vendors and consultants as needed to enhance system functionality. Collect and analyze financial data, ensuring that all reporting complies with IFRS reporting regulations and guidelines. Ensure that the monthly Accounts close process is properly executed, G/L accuracy is maintained, and all accounts are properly reconciled monthly. Ensure timely issuance of the annual financial reports for sign off. Develop, implement and maintain the ERP, procedures and policies covering fixed assets, revenue and cost accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable. Implement and maintain adequate system of financial controls. Participate actively process improvements, policy formulation and ensure adequate system of financial reports. Consolidates entries and accounts to be utilized in company financial statement reporting. Perform accounting controls by executing policies and manage assigned balance sheet accounts, perform account reconciliations, and make necessary corrections. Manage internal and external audits. Process accounting entries and confirming trial balances are accurate. Any other Ad-hoc related activities assigned by the Group Financial controller. What You Need for This Role: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. CPA, CA or CMA designation is a plus. Proven experience in configuring and customizing Oracle Netsuite, preferably within a finance or accounting context. Solid understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and reporting requirements. Proficient in SQL, scripting, and data manipulation to support system configuration and integrations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and data integrity. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across different departments and levels of the organization. Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience with other ERP systems and financial software is a plus. Oracle Netsuite certification(s) is highly desirable.
