A prominent provider of mid- to high-resolution earth observation cameras for CubeSats and small satellites is in search of a Senior Electronic Firmware Engineer to join their team. We're on the lookout for a Senior Electronic Engineer to bolster our Firmware Development Team, focusing on advancing our electronic systems, particularly firmware and software for System-on-Chip FPGAs. Responsibilities: Designing, testing, and integrating digital and electro-optical electronics for aerospace. VHDL firmware module design, implementation, and testing. C software module design, implementation, and testing. Developing digital and electro-optical systems. Supporting product testing campaigns. Skills Needed: 8+ years' experience in digital electronics, including embedded firmware. Proficiency in high-speed FPGA firmware design using VHDL. Familiarity with Microsemi FPGAs preferred. Strong C coding skills in an embedded environment. Python proficiency beneficial. Knowledge of multi-layer PCB design advantageous. Experience in high-tech, military, or aerospace sectors a plus. Understanding of high-speed and high-reliability design practices. Experience with environmental and acceptance testing to high-quality standards desirable. Familiarity with CCD and CMOS electro-optical design advantageous. Understanding of radiation effects on electronics beneficial. Familiarity with standard coding compliance and revision control helpful. Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office required. Education: BEng in Electronic Engineering; MEng in Electronic Engineering.
