Requirements: Undergraduate degree preferable in Mechanical Engineering or similar field. Postgraduate studies advantageous. Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering design and construction management. HVAC experience advantageous. Professional Registration (PrENG, PrTech, etc.) advantageous. Duties: Act as a technical lead within the company’s engineering office. Manage technical aspects on multiple HVAC Projects including design and implementation. Oversee technical design and implementation on large industrial HVAC applications. Drive technical best practice in the office, including research into new methods and processes. Handle estimation and cost control , assist in project tendering and costing. Ensure deadlines are met on all projects. Manage technical staff and contractors. Provide project reporting to management as required. Project manage including site liaising, site meetings, and programming. Prepare technical submittals as part of project approval processes. Maintain change management logs and variation orders. Record and provide costing for all variations on site. Notify builder and relevant parties of any delays to the program. Protect the company from potential penalties by actively managing the program and informing parties of delays. Inform the company’s Directors of any issues arising on site that need immediate attention. Manage the claim process , including verification of certificates and resolving claim queries.
