Vacancy Alert Job role: Fundraising Officer Location: Cape Town CBD Sector: NGO Contract type: Permanent Salary: Market related Job description Summary Planning and developing the fundraising elements of the Organizational Development plan to ensure accurate budgets are developed for the operations of the organization. Managing and diversifying current fundraising strategies and ensuring the support database is being effectively utilized in order to maximize income and loyalty to the organization. Drafting funding proposals. Analyzing fundraising programmes and trends to ensure effective investment in channels, including Return on Investment (ROI) and value of programmes, and report this information back to the Managing Director and coordinating all funding applications being made nationally to corporates or Trust. Develop and conduct training where needed, to develop their fundraising capacity, particularly around proposal development. At times even to the point of leading/facilitating the proposal development and writing process. Oversee the Fundraising Reporting process. Work with the Managing Director to identify and pursue fundraising / business development opportunities, as well as develop contacts /networks that could lead to additional exposure and funds. Develop marketing materials for corporate / institutional donors.
