Financial Manager (Renewable Energy) required in Cape Town.Are you a CA(SA) who has worked in the renewable energy space?Our client is looking for a strong team player, who enjoys taking on new projects, the operational side of business and bringing the financial aspects (including corporate governance) of the project to a close. This is an exciting, demanding role, within a dynamic renewable energy company.Renewable energy experience is a non-negotiable pre-requisite.Requirements:Matric, bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalentMinimum of five years’ renewable energy experienceChartered Accountant with a minimum of 5 years renewable energy experienceMember of SAICAAdvanced excel knowledge, CaseWare, Pastel, OracleKnowledge of renewable energy is highly desirable.Experience in setting up and managing administration and finance management systemsUnderstanding of budgeting, reporting and audit processesStrong analytical skills for problem-solvingAttention to detailDeadline driven and good time management skillsDemonstrated proficiency in creating and analysing data sets and independently drawing key conclusions based on the analysis.Ability to work both independently as well as within a teamDuties and Responsibilities:Implementation of procedures to ensure good corporate governance principlesContribute to defining regional development of procedures, methods, and documentation.Deal with the contract administration and compliance of all the agreements entered by the project companies. This includes financial administration, investor reporting and fund management.Review and manage compliance with the minimum ratios required by the Finance DocumentsCompliance of general project documents, PPA, DCUoSA and IA, regulatoryTax compliance, assist tax advisor in compiling and reviewing monthly compliance returns (PAYE, VAT, NSSF and WHT)Monthly EXCO report co-ordinationQuarterly Board report co-ordination and presentationManagement of Quarterly operational reportsFunder, shareholder, board reporting obligationsPlan, execute and monitor the obligations of Project Company’s shareholders (equity and shareholders’ loans)Plan, execute and monitor the drawdown of debt from the Lenders (prepare Utilisation requests)Plan, execute and monitor the payment of dividends to shareholdersPlan, execute and monitor the payment of interest, repayment of debt to the Lenders, dividend payments and any redemptions of the preference sharesHedge execution and management (interest and foreign currency)Plan and monitor statutory reporting complianceCost management and control / budget preparationQuarterly foreign currency revaluationsReview all capturing done by the AccountantReporting monthly management accounts and quarterly reportingManagement of EPC, O&M contracts, interfaces, project, insurance policies and utility contractsReview annual and provisional income tax returns and VATAnnual audit planning and coordination for each project companyCoordinate and review the preparation of Annual Financial Statements for the Project Companies#J-18808-Ljbffr
