Reporting to the Site and Services Manager Your responsibilities will include: Preventative maintenance to conveyor systems (PLC experience, an advantage) in line with supplier guidelines and maintenance requirements to ensure maximum uptime On-going maintenance and troubleshooting to operational equipment such as air-con’s, dock levellers, sectional overhead doors, boom gates, tiger teeth, turnstiles, biometric systems, CCTV, alarms, plumbing systems, etc. Basic repairs to items such as fencing, gates, rolltainers, etc. Management of spares and re-ordering of critical components under supervision of DC manager Attributes: Identify&solve problems Conduct electrical and mechanical tests using test equipment Knowledge of electronic components, instrumentation and test equipment Understanding electrical and mechanical principals - hands on Able to apply safety measures in electrical and mechanical environment, ensure OHS policies and procedures are followed Knowledge of PLC may be advantageous but is not essential Wiring qualifications / knowledge could be advantage Knowledge of Drives and controls Read wiring diagrams, electrical and mechanical diagrams/plans Undertake, improvement, repairs and modifications Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken Comfortable with change and excellent team player Comfortable with learning and adapting to new systems Be able to work in a pressured environment. Be able to complete tasks quickly&efficiently. Be willing to go the extra mile. Flexible working times and extended hours to resolve problems which affect Qualifications: Relevant technical electrical, mechanical or similar qualification Minimum 6 years of experience in a relevant industry or service with automated material handling systems, electrical and mechanical engineering / mechatronics Experience in the retail/distribution industry would be advantageous.
