Our client is looking for a well-organized, experienced Warehouse Supervisor to supervise the staff and daily activities such as receiving, dispatching, and storage of stock in their Brackenfell Warehouse. POSITION: Permanent COMMENCEMENT: As soon as possible Qualifications/Experience National Senior Certificate (Grade 12). At least 3 years proven supervisory experience in Warehousing. Proven experience in a warehouse environment with large volume of stock items / SKU's. Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management of staff. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Intermediate level of MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Afrikaans. Role Very fast-paced environment. Overseeing receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. Implementing operational policies and procedures. Implementing and overseeing security operations. Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment. Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities. Maintaining awareness and knowledge of condition and location of fleet vehicles. Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Complies with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Actively participating in health and safety initiatives, taking a lead role in safety optimization. Keeping track of records, reports, and other documentation, ensuring all files are kept up to date and confidential. Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company’s health, safety, and security policies and procedures. The job requires supervision, safety management, developing standards, managing processes, surveillance skills, inventory control, reporting skills, analyzing information, equipment maintenance, and excellent judgment skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
