Job Description:Crafting intricate chassis harness designs, employing cutting-edge 3D CAD and 2D schematic softwareOrchestrating the development of electrical systems, seamlessly integrating 3D wiring designs in Siemens NX and translating them into precise 2D harness drawings and schematicsMerging electrical components flawlessly into vehicle architecturesStrategizing project scopes and diligently managing project timelines for optimal efficiencyGenerating meticulous bills of materials and assembling them into representative 3D models using Unigraphics NXImplementing robust product data management protocols by inputting designs and pertinent data into PDM software like Team CenterEnsuring design compliance with supplier specifications and regulatory standardsPrioritizing design considerations for cost-effectiveness, installation simplicity, and serviceabilityConducting comprehensive concept and design reviews to refine and enhance solutionsCollaborating closely with suppliers to optimize design outcomesAnalyzing outcomes rigorously against customer requirements and industry benchmarksFacilitating seamless coordination and communication among various engineering disciplines and project teamsSkills & Experience: 7+ years' hands-on experience in electrical design engineering is a mustThose with a background in OEM design will have a distinct advantageProficiency in 3D CAD software, particularly Siemens NX, is highly desirableFamiliarity with Mentor Graphics Vesys for schematic design is considered advantageousAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required for this roleAttention to detail is a key attribute we're seekingExcellent verbal and written communication skills are essentialQualification:Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
