Content Nation Media has an exciting opportunity for a financial accountant, who will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the finance department.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Accounting and financial reportingFull accounting function up to trial balanceCompile management accounts and CNI ReportsPrepare month-end files with supporting documentationPrepare billing information and invoices on a monthly basisPrepare audit packs, documents and schedules required by the external auditorsAdjust journal entries and accounting for provisionsReconcile intercompany loansProcess and reconcile bank statements and cash sheetsProcess and reconcile petty cashMaintain proper fixed asset registers with supporting documentsDebtors and creditors controlCalculate Income Tax, VAT and Employee’s Tax liabilitiesPrepare VAT reconciliationsLoad transfers, beneficiaries and payments onto the banking systemResolve any accounting discrepancies and irregularitiesSARS requirementsSubmit monthly statutory returns e.g. EMP201, VAT201Submit bi-annual recons (EMP501) and IRP5’sProcess SARS payments and maintain SARS accountsAttend to SARS audits and submit supporting documentsApplications for tax clearance certificatesAdministrativeSubmit and pay CIPC annual dutiesManage and train subordinates to meet Finance’s expectationsMaintain financial and administrative software and templatesCustomer servicesTimeously responding to all queries/complaintsEntrenching good rapport with customersMinimum:Completed national diploma with financial accounting 3 and Auditing as a major/studying towards BCom degree in accountingMust have experience in a similar environmentAdvantageous:SAGE  X3 and IDU knowledge will be advantageousExperience in preparing inputs to support the audit filesMust have experience in preparing budgetsHigh MS Excel skill levelThe post Financial Accountant appeared first on freerecruit.co.za.
