My client is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join the Finance & Operations team, responsible for managing accounting transactions and preparing management accounts for the group's largest entity. Reporting to the Financial Manager, this role involves interaction with various business units, including international locations. As the successful individual, you will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and maintain high performance under pressure and within deadlines. You will have the ability to work independently, adapt to changing business requirements, and demonstrate initiative in identifying and implementing improvements. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical ability, accuracy, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, high-responsibility environment are essential.Responsibilities:Responsible for the financial management of the main entity in the groupResponsible for month end close - Including trial balance-, general ledger-level, aswell as transactional processingResponsible for VAT recons, Accounts Payable & Intercompany transactionsMaintain the Fixed Asset RegisterManage inventoryAssist the Financial Manager with ad hoc tasksPrepare monthly Management AccountsEnsure compliance with all taxation, statutory and other regulations with theCompliance Manager`s assistanceSupport the annual budget preparationLiaise with auditors when applicableResponsible for the development of direct reportsFocus on continuous improvement - processes, month-end close, delivering resultsSupports Finance ProjectsRequirements:B.Com or equivalent financial qualificationMinimum of 4 years of relevant working experience within finance/audit/advisoryExperience with preparing management accounts and financial statementsProficiency in MS Office and MS ExcelExperience with Xero Project (advantageous)Please note if you have not heard from us in 2 weeks from application, please consider yourself unsuccessful - please do continue to follow us online and apply for suitable roles.
