A position exists for a Financial Risk Management Actuary at Santam Head Office based in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be part of the financial risk management team responsible for capital modelling, reserving and ad hoc actuarial work.The role of the Financial Risk Management function is ultimately to protect the value of the company for all stakeholders and ensure the sustainability of the company into the future. The FRM function carry out activities needed to evaluate and provide advice to the insurer in respect of technical provisions, capital requirements, asset allocation, reinsurance arrangements and compliance with related regulatory requirements.
