Our client based in Bloemfontein is looking to hire aCorporate Media Editor (Digital Editor) with excellent Afrikaans and English writing skills.DescriptionOverall purpose of the role:Strategic and operational management and optimisation of various digital platforms for the company, supported by high quality written and visual content. Research, development and deployment of digital platforms in accordance with the company strategy and goals, based on solid SEO knowledge and expertise.Key tasks:Manage digital platforms owned by the company and its affiliates (including, but not limited to, websites, publications, social media pages and established communication platforms)Develop, implement and execute strategy for a wide range of digital platforms designated to the portfolio to support business strategy and goals and act in an advisory capacity to the Head of Corporate CommunicationDevelop and curate enticing content tailor-made for each platform to reach digital marketing goals in collaboration with relevant team membersFostering engagement and building relationships with the online community through various channels using technical knowledge of platforms and creative contentContinuous research to understand target market and its content preferencesConduct statistical feedback reports for all digital platformsSearch engine optimisation (SEO): Implementing SEO strategies to improve the organic visibility of digital content in search engine result pages and increase traffic to platformsUnderstand and use paid advertising on platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads and Instagram Ads to create call to action and increase visibilityCollaborating with other departments or teams to ensure alignment of digital media efforts aligned with the overall business goal and strategiesBrand reputation management: Monitoring online mentions, responding to comments or enquiries timeously and addressing issues to maintain a positive brand imageContinuous updating, experimentation, optimisation and maintenance of digital platform contentUnderstand the company’s strategy and brand positioningBudget management allocated to digital media activities.Relevant degree/diploma in digital marketing or proven portfolio of projectsExperience in a digital marketing environment: 4-6 yearsExperience in digital publications will be an advantageSolid, proven knowledge and utilisation of SEO functionsExcellent Afrikaans and English writing skillsAbility to use creative language to sell ideasShort video creation skills will be an advantageExperience in the agricultural industry will be an advantage#J-18808-Ljbffr
