My client is recruiting for an Industrial Relations Officer based in Bloemfontein to oversee compliance and industrial relations in their group.  We are inviting applications from experienced Industrial Relations Officers with strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of working both independently and as part of a team, to effectively manage challenging situations and incidents.Minimum requirements:• LLB / Labour Relations Diploma / similar qualification• Minimum of 8 years’ solid experience in industrial relations• Valid drivers License with own vehicle. • Computer literate – solid Excel experience Responsibilities will include:• Contract and Wage Administration: Review employer practices / employee data to ensure compliance with labour legislation• Periodic audit of site and head office employment contracts and employee data• Manage abscondment process by ensuring required documentation is compiled, signed and recorded• Maintain knowledge and understanding of applicable legislation and regulations related to Labour Relations• Report relevant legislation and related compliance issues to management• Review and consider exemption applications regarding conditions of employment• Review and advise on injury on duty incidents to be reported to COIDA/FEMA• Review and ensure that letters of good standing are always valid• Compile and update detailed disciplinary code / code of conduct• Assist management with disciplinary actions to be taken as needed• Proper record keeping of all documentation relating to disciplinary matters• Represent the position of the company during arbitration or other negotiations• Assist operational managers with labour issues such as business forum meetings, negotiations, community forums etc• Manage routine labour relations related to policies, procedures, and bargaining council agreements• Serve as the initial contact and liaison for intake and assessment of employee complaints.• Collects information and data to assess cost and policy implications of negotiations and disputes • Assess risk levels associated with negotiations / collective bargaining strategies• Investigate and evaluate union complaints or arguments to determine viability and impact• Manage routine Department of Labour / bargaining council / related inspections, audits and supply all data requestedIMPORTANT:Applications close 30 May 2024If you did not receive feedback within 14 days, your application is unsuccessfulOnly applications submitted via the Ditto Jobs platform will be consideredOnly candidates who meet all our client's minimum requirements will be contacted
