We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager (GM) with a strong background in Food and Beverage (F&B) management to lead our client’s boutique hotel. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a GM in a boutique or smaller hotel, or as an Assistant GM or F&B Manager in a similar setting. Experience working in Bloemfontein or outside South Africa is preferred. The ideal candidate would be single or willing to relocate alone. Responsibilities: Overall Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the boutique hotel, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning across all departments. F&B Management: Lead the F&B department, including restaurant and bar operations, menu planning, inventory management, and guest satisfaction. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise hotel staff, ensuring high levels of customer service and guest satisfaction. Financial Management: Develop and manage the hotel budget, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability. Sales and Marketing: Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to attract guests and increase revenue. Guest Relations: Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing guest concerns and ensuring exceptional service standards are upheld. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Property Maintenance: Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of the property, ensuring it meets quality standards and guest expectations. Community Engagement: Build positive relationships within the local community and participate in community events and initiatives. Skills: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team, Familiarity with hospitality industry trends; customer preferences and market dynamics, Strong communication skills; both verbal and written. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel management, with at least 2 years in a GM role or equivalent. Strong background in Food and Beverage management, with experience in menu development, costing, and quality control. Proven track record of driving revenue growth, managing budgets, and achieving operational targets. Knowledge of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services. #J-18808-Ljbffr
