19 Senior Director: Centre for Global Engagement (CGE) (P4)Main purpose of the jobTo manage the day-to-day operations of the Centre for Global Engagement, and a range of international processes and programs within the University.Provide strategic management and leadership towards the comprehensive internationalisation of the University and the reporting on internationalisation.Provide collaborative leadership and support in respect of the various internationalisation projects (E.g., IoHE, Curriculum, I@H, Research, Mobility, Partnerships, Governance, Estates & Infrastructure, etc.).Facilitate, monitor, and evaluate international institutional partnerships with a global reach as per the CUT Global Engagement Strategy.Manage human resources in CGE and the financial sustainability of the Centre for Global Engagement as a semi self-funding entity.Researching, writing, and publishing in the field of internationalisation of Higher Education.Provide leadership in respect of the strategic international marketing and positioning of the Institution, and the recruitment of international students.Provide leadership in the Administration of Staff and Student Mobility and international education.Digital Integration and Accessibility for enhanced Internationalisation.Nature of appointment: 5-year Fixed-term Support ServicesMinimum salary scale (Total Cost to Company): R 1 715 399 per annumMinimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or ExperienceFive years’ experience in a higher education senior management position that included the management of international activities, finance, and human resources.Proven expertise in the strategic priorities of a higher education institution.Insight into higher education internationalisation trends, digital internationalisation, and change management.Knowledge of local and global internationalisation policy frameworks.Scholarly publications in the field of internationalisation of Higher Education (HE).Proven track record of participation in conferences that focus on Internationalisation of Higher Education (presenter / panellist / conference governance structures).Track record of local and international academic partner relationships.Desired Qualification/ Knowledge And/Or ExperienceAt least five years of executive/senior managerial experience in a higher education internationalisation environment.Accredited scholarly publications in the field of internationalisation of HE.Academic credibility as recognised by peers and the university environment.Experience in a multi-campus setting.In addition to a Doctorate, a management qualification or equivalent.Remuneration, Benefits and Process Enquiries: Recruitment Office (jobs@cut.ac.za)CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS – 13 SEPTEMBER 2024#J-18808-Ljbffr
