JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE/LOGISTICS MANAGER DEPARTMENT: WAREHOUSE LOCATION: BENONI PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB: The incumbent will be responsible to oversee all the general daily warehouse and logistics requirements reporting to the warehouse / logistics manager. ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE/LOGISTICS MANAGER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensuring that the stock, staff and trucks are all managed and controlled as per the company requirements. To Ensure that the stock in the warehouse is controlled and kept in the corrected areas as stipulated by the warehouse manager To ensure that the staff adheres to all company rules and regulations To control the handling of the pick slips issued and ensure that the correct stocks are picked. To ensure that the invoices are generated in time and correctly. To ensure that the designated trucks are correctly loaded and securely properly. To ensure that any stock received is offloaded and the stocks are checked properly, and relevant documents issued to the warehouse Manager. To ensure the general housekeeping of the warehouse and trucks is always of acceptable condition. The position requires that there will be needs at times that the hours worked will include extra hours over weekdays and weekends. Must be able to communicate with all relevant management and staff as required. ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE/LOGISTICS MANAGER REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Experience and suitable qualifications for the running and controlling of the warehouse and logistics areas. 2 to 5 years’ experience in the handling and running of warehouse and logistics teams.
