Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content Link Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Create Alert Location: Bellville, Western Cape, South Africa The Tied Agency Distribution department has opportunities for a Sales Support Consultant to join their team (Sanlam Head Office Bellville).JOB DESCRIPTIONThe incumbent will play a key role in supporting the Sales Team, Senior Business Development Manager and Operations Manager in the Tied Agency Distribution department in Santam  PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESThe responsibilities include but not limited to:1. Administrative support Effectively solve escalations/complaints and the management of expectations whilst utilising available resources, including referral to other stakeholders/departmentsOffer administration and business support in facilitating the completion of requests within published service level agreements.Formulate structured reports to Snr BDM’s, BDM’s and practicesAdministration support to the BDM’s, Senior BDM and Operations ManagerManage the diary of a Senior BDM by scheduling appointments and following up on diary requests to ensure appropriate and constructive allocation of timeTimeous and accurate scheduling of meetings ensuring that venues and appropriate facilities have been arranged Drafts minutes of meetings as and when required, including following up on action listCo-ordinate training schedules with the various product providersCo-ordinate and manage logistics of workshops and development daysCo-ordinate and facilitate marketing & branding requests from advisers & BDM’sManage volumes of requests received in workflow system, including tasks allocated to other Sales Support team membersSecondary responsibilities include, but not limited to:Offer administrative support to Operations team Offer support to Operations team with regards to STA commission file processing2. Travel Co-ordination:Co-ordinate travel arrangements of Senior BDMEnsure adherence to Santam group travel and procurement policiesQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCERelevant tertiary qualificationAt least three years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant in a corporate team and/ or responsible for supporting senior management Experience in engagement with key business and external partners across all levels (including senior levels) on behalf of the line manager / Senior BDM  KNOWLEDGEAdministrative support capabilitiesProject and/or process management skills SKILLSComputer literate (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Sharepoint)Strong co-ordination, organisational and planning skillsExcellent interpersonal, communication and networking skillsResults orientated, pro-active and deadline drivenHigh stress tolerance : Ability to operate under pressureStrong quality and client service orientation Sound analysis skillsConfidentiality Ability to ‘think-out-of-the-box’ / lateral thinking High initiative/self-starter/proactive and anticipate requirements Professionalism, excellent judgement, use of discretion, prioritisation and problem solving abilities Ability to work and make decisions independentlyCOMPETENCIESClient focusFlexibility and adaptabilityDrive resultsPlanning and organisingInterpersonal savvyResilientABOUT THE COMPANYSantam is the market leader in the general insurance industry in Southern Africa.
