Who are we? Sanlam Group Technology is responsible for the provision of a digitally enabled technology service as a group COE, drive business and transformation and provide group-wide digital and data architecture. We operate the various technology platforms and shared services, ensure Cyber and Information Security resilience, and act as technology governance and risk orchestrator for technology across Sanlam. What will you do? This is a specialist management support role within a business unit that does not have any direct reports. This role assists and advises managers on the financial implications of business decisions to aid growth and profit. Responsibilities of the job include: compiling and managing a budget, account payments, expense and/or debt management, preparing financial reports and statement, commentaries, payroll, undertaking financial administration and internal audits. What will make you successful in this role? Financial management of costs and recovery in respective of monthly variance analysis to budget per cluster. Monthly Management meetings to discuss the performance of the cluster with the Cluster Head. Budgeting and Forecasting for Cluster. Develop and maintain transparency of IT cost and cost drivers. Manage relationships with Clients. Management of provisions/debtors controls. Translating financial reports to nonfinancial / IT technical people Identify trends and provide corrective action Financial process improvement and controls effectiveness Perform month-end journals Monthly, half and yearend closing Monthly Reconciliation of Headcount and Debtors Qualification Post Grade 12 Qualification BCom Finance Degree Honours or CTA advantageous Experience and Skills 3 years relevant Finance experience in IT or Financial Services Financial knowledge within an IT environment Advance experienced on Excel Understanding of Excel Concepts Knowledge and Skills Financial planning and recommendations Reporting Financial Reporting Financial Information Processing Personal Attributes Action orientated - Contributing independently Financial acumen - Contributing independently Optimises work processes - Contributing independently Plans and aligns - Contributing independently Build a successful career with us We're all about building strong, lasting relationships with our employees.
